The Iowa Heart Center Foundation announced today it has made a donation to the Fort Dodge Community Foundation to support the new Simulation Center at Trinity Regional Medical Center (TRMC). The donation is in memory of C.A. “Pete” Petersen.
The Sim Center will provide a state-of-the-art health simulation laboratory at TRMC. The lab will provide valuable hands on educational experiences for nursing and emergency medical service (EMS) students, as well as continued education for health professionals throughout an eight county region.
The physicians at Iowa Heart Center founded the Iowa Heart Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, in July 1991. The foundation promotes cardiovascular health to Iowans and their communities through increasing awareness, providing access to information and assisting those in need.
